A&M-Commerce honored them for their commitment and outstanding work during the 83rd legislative session. John Sharp, chancellor of The Texas A&M University System, presented each of them with a token of appreciation on behalf of the A&M System.
“Through our shared commitment to the future of Texas, The Texas A&M University System and our state legislators are leading the way for quality higher education across our nation,” said John Sharp, chancellor of the A&M System. “It has been a pleasure to work with such dedicated public servants and I commend their efforts during the 83rd legislative session.”
Representative Flynn was honored to be recognized Saturday afternoon and made these remarks following the presentation: "I am greatly humbled and appreciative of the recognition offered to me by President Jones, Chancellor Sharp, and Texas A&M Commerce. It has been a privilege to work as closely as I have with the faculty and leadership here. The excellence in academic standards that is displayed by the students speaks volumes to the positive impact this faculty and this campus has on the students who attend, as well as the community that supports them."
Other distinguished guests present were The Honorable Ralph Hall, Representative from Texas’ District Four, and The Honorable Mike Conaway, Representative from Texas’ District 11.
