A Mineola man remains behind bars after fleeing from authorities earlier this week.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched Monday to the 100 block of CR 2223 in the Mineola area in reference to an assault. 22-year-old Joshua Allen Stine fled the scene when Deputies arrived. Upon Investigation a warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon was issued for Stine.

Stine was arrested at 2:40 pm on Monday.

Stine’s bond was set at $50,000.
