The Lindale man arrested Friday for his involvement in the injuries to an Alba baby, remains in jail today facing multiple charges.

According to the Kilgore Police Department, 22-year-old Mikael Reeves was working at a new school construction site located at Baughman Road and U.S. Highway 259 South, Kilgore, Texas. When authorities went to arrest Reeves for a Felony Injury to a Child Warrant out of Wood County, Reeves fled.

"The subject was pursued by police through out the neighborhood. He traveled through several yards, a creek bed and a culvert," said Kilgore Police Captin Roman Roberson. "He then forcibly entered a residence in the 2300 block of Redbud Street through the front door and assaulted a housekeeper. He stole the housekeeper's cellular telephone."

Police located Reeves in a back bedroom of the residence and after a brief struggle Reeves was taken into custody.

Reeves was transported and booked into the Kilgore Municipal Complex. Reeves was charged with Felony Burglary of Habitation with a bond of $250,000, Evading Arrest, Misdemeanor, with a bond of $20,000 and Wood County Warrant for Felony Injury to a Child with a bond of $50,000.
