The United States Department of Defense and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy, Rosemary Freitas Williams, recently presented State Representative Dan Flynn with their Certificate of Appreciation for "his leadership on public policy changes positively impacting the quality of life of Service members and their families residing in Texas."
Most notably, the Pentagon extended their gratitude for Representative Flynn's authorship of HB45 and his co-sponsorship of SB162 during the most recent 83rd Legislative Session.
S.B. 162 was developed by State Representative Dan Flynn to ease the transition of service members and their families into civilian life by recognizing professional occupational licenses issued by other jurisdictions including military service that was not previously recognized.
