Announced this week, the State has approved funding for the Franklin County Airport.
Approximately $700,000 for Franklin County Airport was approved by the Texas Transportation Commission at its most recent meeting. The funds will be used for planned airport improvements, which includes Pavement improvements. A project consultant will be selected this winter.
Project costs will be funded through Franklin County and TxDOT’s Aviation Facilities Grant Program, which preserves and improves the state’s general aviation system.
