The 6th Court of Appeals has confirmed an Upshur County Jury’s verdict and sentence of Glenn Wade Meyers for murder.
Meyers was convicted for shooting his sister, Cindy Espinosa, with a shotgun blast to the face on July 2, 2011. According to Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd, the motive for the shooting was the victim asking Meyers for additional funds to repair a water well on the property they both lived on.
Meyers was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
