Lindale burglary suspect evades capture

Lindale Police say a burglary suspect is on the loose, but no longer a danger to the immediate area.

According to Lindale Police, around 2 p.m. today, Officers responded to a shoplifting call at Walmart. The suspect fled Walmart personnel and struck one vehicle in the parking lot with no injuries. The suspect then drove down a dead end road through the woods damaging the small car he was in and fled on foot. The car was stolen out of Dallas. Officers were a not able to locate the suspect after searching for about an hour.

Police say it is believed the suspect is no longer in the Lindale area and is not a threat to Lindale citizens.
