A Henderson man has been sentenced to federal prison for child pornography violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney John M. Bales Wednesday.
43-year-old James Brent Malone, a former Henderson high school English teacher, pleaded guilty on June 11, 2013 to possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis.
According to information presented in court, on January 10, 2013, federal and local law enforcement agents executed a search warrant at Malone’s residence in Henderson, Texas.  A laptop computer and two DVDs were seized during the search and found to contain more than 1,200 images and 40 videos of child pornography.  Some of the material included prepubescent children under the age of 12 engaged in sexually explicit conduct.  Malone was indicted by a federal grand jury in March and charged with child pornography violations.
