An East Texas man arrested Thursday at the residence of the two Quitman girls who were found dead, has been charged with Tampering/Fabricating Evidence. Bond has been set for Thomas Wayne Liles at $25,000.

Quitman Police continue to investigate the case. The Texas Rangers have been called in to assist. Police responded to a 911 call at 11:51 a.m. Thursday at the Dogwood Villa Apartments from a man claiming the girls were not breathing. Officers arrived to find both girls deceased. Identification of the children is being withheld until all notifications have been made.

Quitman Police Chief Kelly Cole says homicide has not been ruled out as Police explore all avenues of the investigation. Chief Cole says no further details will be released before Friday morning. No arrests have been made in connection to the deaths.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
