|Dallas fugitive arrested in Canton|

A Texas fugitive was apprehended this week in East Texas after an investigation and apprehension was conducted by the Canton Police Department.
According to Investigator James Bradshaw, 36-year-old Sammy Keith Lee was apprehended Wednesday. Lee was wanted out of Dallas County since 2009 on 3 outstanding warrants for Indecency With a Child. Bradshaw said Lee has been on the run since bonding out on the 3 charges in 2009.
Lee was arrested in the Public Parking Lot of the Dollar General after being followed from a residence in Canton by Under Cover Officers. Police say Lee attempted to give a false name at the time of the arrest but later gave his identity to Officers.Lee was listed on Dallas County's Most Wanted and is being held without bond.
Canton PD was assisted in this investigation by the Van Zandt County District Attorney's Office, US Marshals Task Force Tyler Office, and the Henderson County Sheriffs Office.
