An East Texas father is jailed after slicing his son with a lawn mower blade.

According to the Tyler Police Department, Officers were called to Trinity Mother Frances Hospital E.R. around 9 a.m. Wednesday to investigate an aggravated assault.

The victim, 26-year-old Kyan Campbell of Tyler, in the Emergency stated that he and his father, 51-year-old Darron Campbell, were working together on lawn maintenance at Borden's located at 805 W. Front Street. The two got into a physical altercation that led the father to striking his son with a lawn mower blade across his son's arm slicing it open.

Campbell was transported by private vehicle to the hospital for treatment. Officers located the father and made an on-site arrest for Aggravated Assault Family Violence after obtaining the details of the incident. Campbell was booked into the Smith County Jail.
