The Tyler Police Department has recovered the vehicle used in the theft of firearms earlier this week at Wal-Mart on HWY 64.
The suspects had left the vehicle at a residence just northwest of Tyler Pipe. The homeowner stated that they did not know who the vehicle belonged to when they discovered it in their carport.
The suspects, 34-year-old Jeremy Wilson, and 33-year-old Jamie Miller, are still on the run and police need the public’s help in locating them.
Around 1:30 a.m., Monday, October 1, surveillance video showed Wilson breaking into the gun case in the sporting goods section and removing four assault rifles. Miller acted as a look-out.
The suspects placed the rifles in a shopping cart along with a gun bag and hunting jacket and removed the stolen merchandise from the store without paying for the items.
Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department.
