Harmony, down two games rallied to defeat Arp in the area round of the conference 2A region three UIL playoffs, 17-25, 17-25, 25-15, 25-19, 15-11.  Harmony now moves on to face Franklin in the Regional Quarterfinals which begin Monday, November 10. 

The Quitman Lady Bulldogs move on the the Regional Quarterfinals of the UIL playoffs after defeating Troy, 25-15, 25-18, 13-25, 25-22 at Ennis High School last night.  Quitman will take on Grandview who defeated Caddo Mills last night, either Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Big Sandy moves onto the next round of the UIL playoffs after defeating Simms James Bowie 3-2 in Ore City last night.  Up next for the Lady Wildcats will be a match-up against wither Leverett's Chapel or Wolfe City.  That game will be played Saturday, November 8, in Lindale beginning at 7 p.m.

In other volleyball playoff results, Hawkins defeated Cumby last night at Rains High School.  Hawkins will take on the winner of the Fruitvale, Beckville winner.  That game will be played, Saturday, November 8, at Hawkins High School.

The Van Lady Vandals. who defeated Farmersville in the bidistrict round recieved a bye into the Regional Quarterfinals.  The Lady Vandals will take on Lucas Lovejoy either Monday or Tuesday of next week.

The Lady Eagles of Lindale fell 3-2 to the Lady Lobos of Longview Tuesday in a Class 4-A bi-district match.  Longview won, 25-20, 24-26, 25-20, 22-25, 15-11.  Lindale finished its season at 21-16.

Hawkins swept Carlisle Tuesday afternoon, 25-19, 21-15, 25-19.  The Lady Hawks were 92 percent from the service line.  Hawkins will move on to the area round to meet up with Cumby at 7 p.m. tonight in Emory at Rains High School.

The Lindale Lady Eagles completed their district 14-4A campaign with a 3-0 win against Kilgore Tuesday afternoon.  Lindale defeated Kilgore 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.  The Lady Eagles finished second in their district with a 7-3 record, while Kilgore finished third.  Lindale's Kelci Lind finished with 12 kills, 3 blocks and 3 digs.  Teammates Maggie Ragsdale and Kaitlyn White also were key contributors in the win for the Lady Eagles.  The Lady Eagles travel to Tatum for a warmup match Saturday at 4:30, and then meet Longview in the playoffs next week (TBA).

Rains wrapped up their season with a 25-27, 25-14, 25-20, 25-15 win over Nevada Cimmunity Tuesday afternoon.  Rains finished the season 22-9 overall and 5-5 in district 10-3A.

Edgewood wrapped up second place in district 14-2A with a sweep of Sunnyvale Tuesday afternoon.  Edgewood won 25-14, 25-19, 25-20.  Edgewood finished the regular season 26-10 overall and 11-3 in district.

Big Sandy earned a big victory over Hawkins Tuesday afternoon with a 21-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-22, 15-13 win.  The win put Big Sandy at 19-9 and in a tie with Hawkins for first place at 7-1 in
district 17-A. 

Brownsboro swept Westwood on Tuesday 25-13, 25-22, 25-11 in its regular season finale.  Brownsboro finished the district season18-11 overall and 8-2 in district 20-3A.  Brownsboro's next contest will be a bi-district playoff match at Corsicana High School at 6 p.m. on Tuesday against an opponent not yet determined.

Quitman clinched a share of the district 13-2A volleyball title with a sweep of Alba-Golden Tuesday afternoon.  Quitman defeated Alba-Golden 25-19, 25-13, 25-9.  Quitman is set to meet Lone Oak in a district playoff matchup for first place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rains High School in Emory.

The Lindale Lady Eagles improved their district 14-4A record to 5-3 with a 25-13, 25-12, 25-21 sweep of Jacksonville on Tuesday.  Maggie Ragsdale had 26 assists and two kills, Meagan Hardy had two aces, four kills and two blocks and Kelci Land finished with two aces, 13 kills and three digs.  Other contributors were, Amanda Perry, Tylee Reimann, and Chrysa Fulcher.  Lindale plays host to Nacogdoches on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Hawks remained undefeated in district 17-A by defeating Union Hill, 25-9, 25-7, 25-10.  Kylee Little finished with four aces and nine assists.  Brianna Simmons and Courtney Davis also pitched in for the Lady Hawks in the win.  The Lady Hawks play their final district match of the season on Tuesday against Big Sandy in Hawkins.

The Lady Dogs outlasted Blooming Grove, 25-20, 16-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-2.  Edgewood (24-10, 9-3) was led by Ashley Kay who finished with nine kills, one ace, twelve digs and five blocks.  Edgewood plays host to Malakoff at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Brownsboro improved to 5-0 in district play with a 25-19, 25-17, 20-25, 25-23 victory over Athens. The Bearettes were led by Hillary Shafer (six kills, nine blocks, two aces and two digs), Naomi Scott (three kills, one block and three digs). Brownsboro (15-10 overall) is scheduled to play Friday at home against Fairfield at 4:30 p.m. Quitman remained atop the district 13-2A standings with a 3-0 win ove Caddo Mills Tuesday. Abbey Delp delivered 11 kills and eight digs to lead Quitman to a 25-21, 25-12, 25-21 win. Quitman will travel to Grand Saline for their next match-up beginning at 4:30 p.m. Hawkins is undefeated in district play after sweeping Waskom Tuesday evening. The Lady Hawks were led by senior Courtnee Davis (21 kills, 10 digs, two blocks and 100 percent serving, 12 for 12) in a 25-12, 25-20, 25-19 victory. THe Lady Hawks will play host to Union Grove Friday in a non-district match-up. Scurry-Rosser defeated Edgewood in four games Tuesday evening. Edgewood fell to 22-10 on the season and 7-3 in district 14-2A play with the 25-7, 21-25, 25-15, 25-16 loss.

The Hawkins Lady Hawks defeated Karnack in 3 games, 25-11, 25-8, 25-7 to improve to 5-0 in district 17-A play. Courtnee Davis had 22 kills and Kylee Little dished out 24 assists. Up next, the Lady Hawks will travel to Bettie on Tuesday to meet Union Hill. Brownsboro in a marathon held off Palestine in 5 games, winning 25-12, 23-25, 25-16, 17-25, 15-8 in a district 20-3A match-up. The Brownsboro Bearettes were led by Naomi Scott (2 kills, block), and Hillary Shaffer (5 kills, 2 aces, block). Friday, Brownsboro (13-10, 3-1) travels to Palestine Westwood for a 4:30 p.m. match. Rains swept Quinlan Ford 25-9, 25-10, 25-20. Chelsee Hudson (9 kills) and Torie Talkington (8 kills) led the Wildcats. Rains improved its record to 19-6, 2-2 in district 13-3A. No. 19 Quitman (25-11, 4-1) defeated No. 18 Lone Oak (23-9, 4-1) 20-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-12, 15-9. One week ago, Lone Oak defeated Quitman in 5 games. Quitman plays Como-Pickton at 2 p.m. Saturday. Malakoff swept Edgewood in 3 games 25-21, 25-20, 25-15. With the loss, Edgewood falls to 21-9 overall and 6-2 in district 14-2A. Edgewood plays Mildred on Friday.
