It was hot, but that didn't stop nearly 60 students, dressed in blue from getting down to business this morning in Quitman.

Quitman Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Ron Callahan was pleased. "It's been a great first day," said the coach as players moved from room to room in the new field house.

This is the first year for Callahan in Quitman. The coach was hired earlier this year from Center.

"We're not changing a whole lot," said Coach Weber, noting the team is a fairly young group overall this year.

The first day of practice also saw the band on the field nearby, beginning what will be several weeks of practice formations.
