Van Zandt County Sheriff's deputies say they have arrested three people in an illegal dumping case, originally reported by a concerned citizen. Working from the tip, officers watched as two suspects, Billy Perdue Jr. and Gilbert Perry Jr., pumped the underground storage tanks at the B-Z Mart in Grand Saline. The pair then began driving to a site on County Road 1805 where they reportedly had already dumped another load of fluid from the tanks. The dumping site is being investigated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and local investigators.
