The Grand Saline Lady Indians, looking for their second district win of the season, played host to the Alba-Golden Lady Panthers Tuesday evening.  The first sixteen minutes of the game was played evenly between the two teams with Grand Saline leading, 29-17.  As the two teams came out for the start of the third quarter, you got the sense that the Lady Panthers would make a run and cut into the 12 deficit.  That did not happen.  Lady Indian's, Amanda Rucker was on fire to begin the third quarter, scoring the first eight points of the quarter.  The Lady Indians started the third quarter on a ten nothing run to put the game away.  Rucker finished with a game high 27 points.  Alba-Golden was lead in scoring by Elizabeth Miller who finished with 7 points.

Game two of the double header in Grand Saline followed the same script as game one.  Both Alba-Golden and Grand Saline came out shooting well from both the floor and the free throw line.  At the end of the first quarter, the score was, 12-11 in favor of the Indians.  At the half, the Indians led 29-18.  The Indians as did the Lady Indians came out on fire to begin the third quarter.  At the end of three, the Indians led, 43-25.  In the end, the Grand Saline Indians would pick up their first win in district play with a 60-43 win over Alba-Golden.  Up next, the Alba Golden Lady Panthers and Panthers will play host to Como-Pickton, while the Grand Saline Lady Indians and Indians will travel to take on Cooper Friday night.
